Don Haut is a highly accomplished biotechnology and medical technology executive with more than three decades of experience building, financing and commercialising innovative healthcare companies. Throughout his career, he has led strategic transactions with a combined value exceeding $8 billion, establishing a reputation as one of the industry’s finest business development leaders and corporate strategists.

Don brings deep expertise in orthopaedics and regenerative medicine, having held senior leadership roles with Smith & Nephew, Histogenics, Arthrosurface and Xiros, where he was involved in the development and commercialisation of innovative cartilage repair and musculoskeletal technologies. His unique combination of commercial, technical, clinical and regulatory experience provides valuable insight into the opportunities and challenges facing emerging healthcare companies.

Amongst his many previous CEO and CBO roles Don served as Chief Business Officer of AskBio, where he led the company’s global business development activities and played a key role in the landmark $4 billion acquisition of AskBio by Bayer AG, one of the largest transactions in the cell and gene therapy sector. His career spans academic science, management consulting, sales leadership, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate strategy, and he has developed an unparalleled global network across the biotechnology, medical device and investment communities.

Today, Don serves as Chief Business Officer of Arbor Biotechnologies, a pioneering gene-editing company developing next-generation genomic medicines, and as Chairman of IMMvention Therapeutix, Inc., a biotechnology company focused on developing novel immunotherapies. He has also served on the boards of numerous healthcare and life science companies, providing strategic guidance on company growth, financing, partnering and commercialisation.

As Chairman of Bounce Biomedical, Don works closely with the Board and executive leadership team to support financing, business development, strategic partnerships and international growth. His extensive experience creating value across biotechnology, regenerative medicine and medical devices provides invaluable guidance as the company advances its product platform toward clinical adoption and commercial success.

Don holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and an MBA from Washington University’s Olin Business School.
